LaBrecque Glassworks is the glass studio of Ben LaBrecque. All of Ben's works are created using a technique of glassblowing called lampwork, which utilizes a high temperature torch to heat the glass to a molten state. From there, the glass can be manipulated with tools and blown out to achieve the desired form.

Ben has been working with glass for 12+ years and has developed his skills and style through a combination of self-teaching and formal training. His formal training took place at the Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle, Washington with instructor Bandhu Dunham and at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York with instructors Emilio Santini and Simone Crestani. All three of these instructors are master glass blowers and offered unique and varying approaches to creating beautiful works of glass. Ben combines the techniques he learned from these artists with his own experimentation and inspiration from the natural world.

Ben works from a small studio behind his house in beautiful Teton Valley, Idaho, where he lives with his wife and daughter.
