We have returned from another successful art fair weekend. We are starting to feel a little bit like gypsies with our truck filled to the brim with glass and booth equipment and accessories, and limited camping gear thrown into the cracks and crevices. We are once again incredible thankful for the kindness of other artists who share their art fair wisdom with us, the new kids. We now even have a few artist friends who we see at art fairs throughout the year, which is becoming an extended family in and of itself.
Our "new kid" status got us a spot on the local ABC/Fox news station in Bozeman. They wanted to interview artists that were new to the festival, and apparently we were one of the few newcomers. Ben doesn't like to be on camera, and I think he did a good job, while I rushed around to make our booth look a little better for the shot.
We learned a lot about inventory at this art fair too...we sold out of our glass birds on Saturday, which was a big surprise. Oops! More birds next time! Our booth was looking pretty sparse by the end of the weekend with many sales. We are also so happy to begin a new collaboration with "The Artist's Shop," an artist owned cooperative gallery in downtown Missoula, MT, that specializes in local and regional fine craft and art. They have some of the trees, goblets, and stemless wine glasses that we brought to Bozeman with us. Very exciting times!
Welcome...to you, website visitor, and to us! We finally have a website! All it took was for Erin (Ben's wife, muse, lovely assistant, #1 fan) to get sidelined with a stomach flu and then, presto! She had time to make a website. We even bought the domain name so that it will be easier to find us. How did you find us, anyway?
We hope you like our website. We are new at all of this. We are excited to be putting new products up on Etsy soon, so stay tuned for that. We are very busy these days applying for art fairs and courses this summer, so we should have an idea of what our summer schedule looks like in the next couple months.
We will be attending our first out of state art fair this spring, the "Art Under the Elms" as part of the Dogwood Festival in Lewiston, ID. Wish us luck!
Thanks for stopping by.
